Red Fire Dog Year

Home-body Dog, will bring harmony and friendship into our private lives... But over-protective Dog could instigate some serious dog-fights over boundaries and perceived injustices.

Asian folks are preparing for a baby boom in 2006 - a great year for having babies! Equality and liberty will be advocated by the Dog's noble influence. But Red Fire Dog also signals real danger, the possibility of war and calamity.

Worrisome, but with Dog's influence, we should expect things to be worked out to the advantage of the underdog. At a global level, peacemaking will be the predominant direction.

A year when the old guard rigidly sticks to their principles while the young push the boundaries - a year of extremes... of law and order, a time when borders are strictly monitored...

international disputes over land and resources could become serious.... and issues of separation around cultural boundaries could predominate, especially within countries as opposed to between countries.

Still, this should be mellow time...the scale of any war-making activities around the planet should decrease this year and if there were ever a year for making political deals and peace agreements that stick, this would be the one.

Dog pushes us to become more aware of our environment - we should see a number of successful urban renewal projects this year, but... issues of global warming, environmental calamities are likely to be severe, and BIG... in other words, nature is going to grab our attention this year.

We could be in for a wild ride with the weather - awesome earthquakes - and in this Fire year, volcanic eruptions, massive fires, explosions that force the evacuation of hundreds of thousands of people.

Dog asks us to be mindful of our children... and Red Fire Dog asks us to be especially careful in public places, schools, theme parks where the risk of accidents that affect masses of young people is very high.

The interest and desire for metaphysical knowledge and spiritual insight gains momentum world-wide. We will see a huge upsurge in paranormal events and activity over the next few years... beware of some of the cults that will surface in this period.

This would be a risky year for any organization that has been greedy, abused its power... "8" years typically bring such situations to the surface... and with this also being a Dog year, a year of law and order, we can expect folks to be speedily taken to task for their wily ways.

A Galactic Fairy Tale

A long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away there were all of these little light beings just hanging out enjoying life in that joyful & timeless dimension. And then one day a very large, magnificent angel came to them. He had a very serious look on his face. He was looking for volunteers for a very important cosmic mission.

"We have this small - but very special - planet out at the edge of the Alcyon galaxy called Gaia. It is quite unique like a beautiful garden and it is teeming with hundreds of thousands of different life forms. It has been something of an experimental station in the galaxy and it has a most interesting humanoid life form that incorporates the very highest and lowest frequencies known in the cosmos. It is in fact the very epitome of dualism.

On the one hand it is an incredibly beautiful life form and is capable of carrying the highest frequencies of love, light & joy known throughout the whole Universe. On the other hand it is capable of carrying the densest and darkest frequencies the cosmos has ever experienced - frequencies which the rest of creation evolved beyond eons ago.

Here is the current situation. Within the domain of time, this planet goes through periodic cosmic cycles. It is now coming to the end of two major cycles - a 2,000 year long age of Pisces and the 25,000 year long cosmic year in its journey around Alcyon, the central sun of the milky way galaxy.

With the completion of this cycle, many things are coming to an end and many things are about to begin. But most importantly, the planet is experiencing an infusion of light that is dramatically increasing its frequency. As during any major time of transition, there will be a certain amount of turbulence. Some of this will be geological, for Gaia herself is a living planet and is also evolving.

But much of it also involves the hominoid species that dominates the planet.
This will not be a particularly easy time for the species - especially for those who are sleeping and those who are vibrating at the lowest frequencies. As the frequency changes it will create insecurity, which in turn will create fear. The first era of evolution on this planet was the physical era and the key word was survival. The second era, which is now ending, was the mental era and the key word was logic. The third era, which is now beginning, is the era of the heart and the key word is love. This is the highest frequency.

Those who currently hold the reign of power on the planet are of the old order of the physical & mental. To the extent that they can make a graceful transition to a heart centered and divinely guided life, it will be an easy transition. To the extent that they are unable to do this, they will experience much turmoil.

So this is the current situation of Gaia. The reason I am here is to seek volunteers who would be willing to incarnate in humanoid form on the planet at this time to help make this an easy and smooth transition.

We have sent prophets and teachers in the past. Very often they were brutally persecuted or killed. In other instances they were set up as "gods" to be worshiped and these humanoids built elaborate religions and rituals around them and used these religions to control each other. They did everything except follow the simple teachings that were offered.

So this time we are trying a different approach. No more prophets, saviors & avatars that they can use to create religions. This time we are sending in thousands - actually hundreds of thousands - of ordinary light beings with only two assignments:

1) Stay in your heart. Regardless of what happens, stay in your heart.

2) Remember who you are, why you are here and what this is all about.

Now that seems easy enough, right? Unfortunately, No! As I have said, duality has reached its peak on this planet. This species has perfected the illusion of good and evil. The greatest challenge you will experience is to remember Who You Really Are, Why You Are Here and What This Is Really All About. When you remember, you will be ale to stay in your heart, regardless of external events.

So how will you know when you are forgetting? It is easy. Watch your judgments. The moment you notice that you are in a place of judgment you will know that you have forgotten Who You Really Are, Why You Are Here and What This Is Really All About.

That will be your signal.

Now here is the challenge. Life on this planet will require a great deal of discernment - wise evaluation of what is true, what is appropriate and what is for the highest good, both for yourself and for the planet. In many ways discernment is similar to judgment. However, you will know when you are in judgment and when you have moved out of your heart when you are in a place of blame.

We know how challenging that this planet can be. We know how very real the illusions on this planet appear to be. We understand the incredible density of this dimension and the pressure you will face. But if you survive this mission - and it is a voluntary one - you will evolve at hyperspeed.

We also should say that we know that some of you, who will go to this planet as starseeds, will never germinate - never awakened to the remembrance of who you really are. Some of you will awaken and begin to shine, only to be choked down by the opinions and prevailing thought forms around you. Others will awaken and remain awake and your light will become a source of inspiration and remembrance for many.

You will incarnate all over the planet; in every culture, every race, every country, every religion. But you will be different. You will never quite fit in. As you awaken you will realize that your true family isn't those of your own race, culture, religion, county or even your biological family. It is your cosmic family - those who have come as you have come - on assignment to assist in ways large and small in the current transition.

True brotherhood and globalization in its highest form will come only in remembering Who You Really Are, Why You Are Here and What This Is Really All About. It will come as you return to the true temple of Divine Presence, your heart, where this remembrance takes place and from which you are called to serve the world.

So, are your ready? Good!

Oh, and by the way, there are a couple of other minor things I should mention......

Because of the density, you can't operate in that dimension without a space suit. This is a biological suit that actually changes over time. There are many things we could tell you about this but our orientation time is short so I think you can just jump in and experience it.

You should be forewarned, however. There will be a danger that if you forget who you really are, you may think you ARE your space suit instead of the fact that it is simply your vehicle in that dimension.

Once there, you will notice that there are an infinite variety of space suits and a great deal of attention given to these. However, in spite of the infinite variety, because this a planet of duality, they all fall into two basic categories called 'genders.'

Again, we really don't have time to go into this now. But you will find your relationship with your own space suit to be most instructive and interesting.

The other little thing is this: In order to operate in that dimension, you will also receive a microchip called a 'personality.' This is like an identity imprint that, along with your space suit, will essentially make you different from everyone else.

This will allow you to participate in the hologram there - something they call 'consensus reality.' Once again, there will be a real danger that you will become so engrossed in the holographic personality dramas that you will forget who you really are and actually think that you ARE your personality.

I know it sounds rather unbelievable right now, but once you get there.....
Again, there is so much more we could tell you by way of orientation, but we think you can learn the rest experientially 'on site."

The only thing that is important is to remember Who You Really Are, Why You Are Here and What This Is Really All About.

If you can do that, everything else will work out fine. But take note: So few really DO remember this they stand out as 'different' and others called them 'Enlightened" or 'Awakened" and similar terms. Strange isn't it?

Well, Good Luck & Bon Voyage!!!

Something Better in Return

Should heartache enter your mind and ambush your joy, yet it prepares the way for happiness.
Quickly it sweeps all others out of the house so that joy may come to you from the Source of good.

It shakes the yellow leaves from the branch of the heart, so that fresh leaves may grow continuously.

It pulls up the root of old happiness so that a new ecstasy may stroll in from Yonder.
Heartache pulls up withered and crooked roots so that no root may remain concealed.

Through heartache may extract many things from the heart, in truth it will bring something better in return.

The body is manifest; Life's spirit is hidden

When a dispute arises
as to the ownership of the husk,
the husk belongs
to the one who possesses the kernel.

The heavenly sphere is the husk;
the light of the spirit is the core.
This sky is visible; spirit is not;

but don't stumble because of this.
The body is manifest;
Life's spirit is hidden:

The body is like a sleeve;
the spirit is the hand.

Carnival of Healing # 25: Intention

Intention

The dictionary defines intention as an aim that guides action or a course of action that one intends to follow. In medicine the word intention is defined as “the process by which or the manner in which a wound heals.” The word itself comes from the Latin intendere which means to direct attention.

In healing, energy follows thought, it is the intention that allows the energy that is healing to follow and take root where it is needed.

Intention is the opening of the cycle of Intention ~ Manifestation ~ Gratitude

Intention is the air of inspiration filling your bodymind, with the ideal of healing change and transformation. To quote the words of the song Terrapin Station:

Let my inspiration flow
in token lines suggesting rhythm
that will not forsake me
till my tale is told and done
While the firelight's aglow
strange shadows in the flames will grow
till things we've never seenwill seem familiar
Counting stars by candlelight
All are dim but one is bright
the spiral light of Venus rising first and shining best
From the northwest cornerof a brand-new crescent moon
crickets and cicadas sing......

~ Hunter/Garcia

Dr. Joseph Dispenza in the film “What the BLEEP Do We Know!?” details how he uses intention to create his day:

I Create My Day

"I wake up in the morning, and I consciously create my day the way I want it to happen. Now, sometimes, because my mind is examining all the things that I need to get done, it takes me a little bit to settle down, and get to the point, of where I'm actually intentionally creating my day.But here's the thing.""When I create my day, and out of nowhere, little things happen that are so unexplainable, I know that they are the process or the result of my creation. And the more I do that, the more I build a neural net, in my brain, that I accept that that's possible.

Gives me the power and the incentive to do it the next day.""So, if we're consciously designing our destiny, if we're consciously, from a spiritual standpoint, throwing in what the idea that our thoughts can affect our reality or affect our life, because reality equals life. Then, I have this little pact that I have when I create my day." "I say, I'm taking this time to create my day, and I'm infecting the Quantum Field.

Now, if it is in fact, the observer's watching me the whole time that I'm doing this, and there is a spiritual aspect to myself. Then, show me a sign today, that you paid attention to any one of these things that I created, and bring them in a way that I won't expect.""So, I'm as surprised as the- as the- at my ability to be able to experience these things, and make it so that I have no doubt that its come from you. And so, I live my life, in a sense, all day long, thinking about being a genius, or thinking about being the glory and the power of God, or thinking about being Unconditional Love.

""I'll use living as a genius, for example. And as I do that, during parts of the day, I'll have thoughts that are so amazing, that cause a chill in my physical body, that have come from nowhere. But then, I remember that that thought has an associated energy, that's produced an effect in my physical body.""Now, that's a subjective experience, but the truth is is that I don't think that unless I was creating my day to have unlimited thought, that that thought would come."

The visible world is the invisible organization of energy.
- Physicist Heinz Pagels

Sometimes when we begin to act from intention our minds may show us our fears, and uncertanties. These may hook us and slow us down, and prevent us from moving forward. The teacher Pema Chödrön is a fully-ordained Buddhist nun and the resident teacher at Gampo Abbey in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.

Her article How We Get Hooked from the March, 2003 issue of the Shambhala Sun was a real teaching for me, on how we experience fear, uncertainty, and discomfort, and how we truly suffer when we try to escape.

How can we trust this process? How can we trust others to help? Want to build trust with someone? Watch how you treat them and be more generous than they expect -- the sooner, the better.

That nugget of common sense has scientific backing. Brain scans reveal what people's minds were up to during a game of trust. The results hint at what makes or breaks trust -- a complex process in the "real world" outside the lab. The findings might also yield new leads on conditions like schizophrenia, autism, and borderline personality disorder, say the researchers. Those conditions can make it tough to size people up correctly, they note.

In the article Taking it Step by Step Combining Intuition, Spiritual Purpose and Creativity, the author, intuitive Jodie Foster, details her technique of creating stepping stones as a meditative practice for your spiritual process. This is really making physical contact with our intentions.

Our Human Intention:

"I am an orphan alone; nevertheless I am found everywhere. I am one, but opposed to myself. I am youth and old man at one and the same time. I have known neither father nor mother, because I have had to be fetched out of the deep like a fish, or fell like a white stone from heaven.

In woods and mountains I roam, but I am hidden in the innermost soul of man. I am mortal for everyone, yet I am not touched by the cycle of aeons.

We have spent our lives believing we were the captain when in fact we are the ocean, the shore, the clouds, and the wind. We've traded life for a telescope to examine it. "

~ Carl G. Jung
Memories, Dreams, Reflections

"The words that represent the seven faces of intention are: creative, kind, loving, beautiful, expanding, abundant, and receptive. Memorize them to bring yourself into harmony with the power of intention." ~ Dr Wayne Dyer- The Power of Intention

The Palace

The two men were among the privileged few to be granted an audience with the king.
At the appointed hour, the first man arrived at the palace; but as soon as he entered the anteroom he froze, awestruck. A wealthy man himself, he was in a position to truly appreciate the grandeur which lay before him. For hours he stood, reveling in the finery and opulence which intoxicated his rich-man's soul. For hours he stood, and the king... he never did quite see the king.

The second man also arrived at the same entrance hall, but he was a man unaccustomed to such riches. His impoverished taste failed to appreciate what so enthralled his more sophisticated fellow. Much to the wealthy man's dismay, the pauper made straight for the king's door.

In telling this story, the Lubavitcher Rebbe commented:
A great man [1] once said: "I pray with the mind of a child." A child's perception of G-d, he felt, is, in a way, truer and purer than the accomplished kabbalist's deepest comprehension of the Divine attributes and manifestations.

The spiritual connoisseur who approaches G-d with an eye to the "experience" of this or that nuance of divinity, can lose sight of what the point of it all is. Only by acknowledging our basic spiritual illiteracy can we truly relate to the all-transcendant essence of G-d.

One Last Adjustment

Our deeds are but catalysts to change the world. Their size and visible impact are not what really matters.

In everything you do, consider that there is but one last fine adjustment the world needs before it may transform. Who knows —-perhaps this one is it.

The Dream That Must Be Interpreted

This place is a dream.
Only a sleeper considers it real.
Then death comes like dawn,
and you wake up laughing
at what you thought was your grief.

But there's a difference with this dream.
Everything cruel and unconscious
done in the illusion of the present world,
all that does not fade away
at the death-waking.

It stays, and it must be interpreted.
All the mean laughing,
all the quick, sexual wanting,
those torn coats of Joseph,
they change into powerful wolves
that you must face.

The retaliation that sometimes come now,
the swift, payback hit,
is just a boy's game
to what the other will be.

You know about circumcision here.
It's full castration there!
And this groggy time we live,
this is what it's like:

A man goes to sleep in the town
where he has always lived,
and he dreams he's living in another town.
In the dream, he doesn't remember
the town he's sleeping in his bed in.

He believes the reality of the dream town.
The world is that kind of sleep.
The dust of many crumbled cities
settles over us like a forgetful dose,
but we are older than those cities.
We began as a mineral.

We emerged into plant life,
and into the animal state,
and then into being human,
and always we have forgotten our former states,
except in early spring
when we slightly recall
being green again.

That's how a young person
turns toward a teacher.

That's how a baby leans toward the breast,
without knowing the secret of its desire,
yet turning instinctively.

Humankind is being led along
an evolving course, through
this migration of intelligences,
and though we seem to be sleeping,
there is an inner wakefulness
that directs the dream,
and that will eventually startle us
back to the truth of who we are.

One Stream of Truth

As water in a fountain flows as one stream, but falls in many drops divided by time and space, so are the revelations of the one stream of truth.
-- Hazrat Inayat Khan

Commentary by Hazrat Samuel L. Lewis:

Truth is the Universal Life which permeates and penetrates all things. It is the same as Universal Light called "Amida"
by the Buddhists which should not be regarded as different from Allah or God. This difference comes from the intervention of the mind-weaving. The Universal Light penetrating through the meshes of the mind reflects in forms through the world of limitation -- that is to say, where there is time and where there is space.

If by cognition one means mental grasping, this is not the acquiring of truth. It can never be done by philosophy. It is only when the consciousness arises above time and space, it perceives the Grand Unity beyond the mental realm. It is this Touch which may be called Revelation, and no one who has ever experienced it will find its Essence contradictory to anyone else who has ever experienced it.

Sometimes the spiritual evolution of personality reaches such an exalted stage that the one is called "Avatar" or "Rasul". This is the result of the tearing of mind-mesh so that the Divine Light penetrates into the physical body, and the life of body, mind and spirit is one. In such cases the words of the speaker are termed "Revelation", but the real revelation consists not of the words but of the personality and atmosphere of the Divine Messenger.

As the Universal Light and Life are ever one and the same, and as the process of revelation always consists of this tearing of the mind-mesh and the pouring of spiritual abundance upon the body, such experience can well be likened to the rising of a geyser or fountain, only in this case the depths of the spring are in the universal sphere.
